1. (Wed) We went to a watch party at Mr. Drennan's last night. We went to town to day. Boyd, Jim, Allen and Ed went to Springfield to try and get a top for our car. It rained all day.
2. (Thu) I went to Mrs. Frazee's this afternoon and helped them quilt. It has been a nice day.
3. (Fri) I went to town with Noie. It is awful cold. We were at Aldene's for dinner.

5. (Sun) Jim & Florence, Allen and Aldene and the children came out for dinner. Florence brot her quilt for me to quilt.

13. (Sun) Jim, Florence and Mrs. Walker came up last night. Mrs. Walker is going to stay a week. Marie and I went to Sunday School.

29. (Tue) Grandma Gass died yesterday. I am helping Mrs. Gass with the children's clothes. I made 2 pr. of bloomers and a dress and washed and ironed 2 dresses. Went to town to the Dentist with Elsie. Mrs. Wieland and Curt and Emma were here this eve. Curt has this new teeth.
30. (Wed) I wanted to go out to Bois 'D'Arc church's the Ladies Aid but it looked so rainy I didn't go. I varnished and waxed the kitchen floor.

11. (Sun) Mother's Day - Jim and Florence came last night. Mrs. Walker was here last night too. We didn't go to church. We went to the Divernon Cemetary in the after noon. We went to church in the evening. I was about sick all day.

25. (Sun) We went to Jess' for dinner. My face is awful sore. We went back to Jess' in the eve and had ice cream. Lennie came home with us. Aldene and Allen were there.

17. (Mon) Aldene took my washing so I cleaned the chicken yard and got dinner and helped Boyd build fence this after noon. Aldene and Allen came out for supper. Allen fixed the Radio.
18. (Tue) Allen's left early this A.M. It is a beautiful day. Elsie came over and helped me get dinner. Jess is shucking corn here to day.
19. (Wed) I went to Springfield with Aldene and Allen to day. Metta was married last Sat. It is awful windy to day.
20. (Thu) It rained this A.M. The boys moved the piano into the dining room and put up the stove in the sitting room.

22. (Sat) Elsie was over again to day. We had 8 men for dinner. We got done shucking corn to day.

24. (Mon) I washed to day. But it rained so I did not put my clothes up. Allen and Aldene came out to stay all nite. I baked bread and cookies to day. Aldene and Florence got me a nice dress for Christmas. I went to town this after noon and we made it shorter.

27. (Thu) 7 above. Thanksgiving - We were all at Aldene's for dinner. We looked for Frank's but they did not come.
28. (Fri) Harold and I are starting to Frank's at 12:00 noon. We got to Joliet at 6:33. Frank was there to meet us. It is zero up here.
29. (Sat) We started to go to Rockford this morning but it was so slick, Frank thot best not to go.
30. (Sun) Frank, Bernice, Harry A., Harold and I went to Rockford this morning. We were at Ella's for dinner. Had a nice time.
1. (Mon) It is nice this morning but awful cold. We went up town and to the show this aftter noon.
2. (Tue) Frank and Flossie brot Harold and I to Joliet and we left on the 9:40 buss. Had a nice trip and got to Virden a little after 4.
3. (Wed) We rendered lard and made sausage this morning. Curt & Boyd were here for dinner. I went to the Ladies Aid at Mrs. Earl's this after noon.
4. (Thu) I cleaned up the smoke house and am cooking the shanks and heads. Aldene and Elsie have gone to Springfield with Helen.
5. (Fri) I made scrapple and sour meat and churned this morning and made some towels this after noon. It has rained all day. Still raining to nite.
6. (Sat) I baked 4 pies, a cake, and cookies. Jess and Elsie are going to Springfield to a farmers banquet. I am going to keep the children. They came over about 4 o'clock.
7. (Sun) The children were all home for dinner. Jim brot us a big beef roast. We are going to church and to see Viola. She came home yesterday.
8. (Mon) I washed this morning and went to Mrs. Roberts this after noon.

10. (Wed) I was alone all day. Boyd and Jim helped Mr. Roberts in his beans. I baked bread.

19. (Fri) Boyd went to town after coal and took Iva's stove to her and got the one he bought.
20. (Sat) Well, we got our stove up and like it fine. I washed and ironed to day.
21. (Sun) We went to church and to Aldene's for dinner. Came home and did the chores and went to Curt's. Stayed till church time and went to church. I sang a solo.
22. (Mon) I washed up some more things. Florence called up. It is snowing real hard. Allen and Aldene & Agnes came out for dinner. Aldene stayed and we made some candy and then we took her home. I took Viola another chicken.
23. (Tue) Boyd helped and we dressed 6 chickens.
24. (Wed) I baked a big cake this morning. We went to the School house to their program this after noon. This is a beautiful day. 12 above this morning but it doesn't seem cold. Frank's got to Aldene's about 5:30 o'clock. We all went to the exercises.
25. (Thu) Christmas - The children were all home for dinner except Jess' and they came in the evening so we had Christmas supper a little late and All got nice presents.
26. (Fri) We were at Elsie's for dinner.
27. (Sat) Frank and Flossie stayed all nite at Jess'. Frank's and us and Elsie went to Florence's to day for dinner. Helen had a party last nite. I went. Boyd kept all of the children.
28. (Sun) Frank's left at noon for home. They will have a lovely day to drive. We went to town in the after noon and brot Marie home with us.
29. (Mon) Allen and Aldene came out after church. Aldene stayed to help me.
30. (Tue) This is a nice day. The Bois 'D'Arc folks came over here and brot their dinner. There were 45 here. Had a fine dinner and a good time.
