1. (Sun) 10 below Zero this morning. Marie is still sick. We were alone all day. I wrote to Bernice and Thelma Dale this after noon.

6. (Fri) Allen Drennan's birth day. It is a beautiful day. We were at Aldene's for dinner. Henry Thomas' baby girl was born this evening.
7. (Sat) We helped butcher at Albert's40 to day. It is awful muddy.
8. (Sun) We went to Mrs. Huber's funeral. I helped sing.

11. (Wed) It is so warm and terrible muddy. I have been about sick all day. LaVerne is sick.

3. (Fri) Jess' birthday - 30 yrs old. Boyd went to town. I went to Jess' and got dinner while they papered at the little house. Lynn and Bobbie both have bad colds.

5. (Sun) We were at Ben's birthday dinner to day. The roads are just dredful.
6. (Mon) I cooked down 3 ½ gal. of sausage and made scrapple and head cheese. It rained.
7. (Tue) We had a big rain last night. It just thundered and lightninged terrible. We sent Frank a box of meat to day. The roads are awful. Josie McKinney was operated on to day.
8. (Wed) I finished up all the butchering work to day and started a rug. It rained and snowed to day.
9. (Thu) I washed this morning. They had the Dr. for Bobbie this morning.
10. (Fri) We were at Jess' all day. Bobbie is real sick.
11. (Sat) We went to Jess' again this morning. The Dr. was out again. Jess meets him at the hard road. Bobbie's cold has gone to his lung. Boyd went home and done the chores and came back. We gave medicine all night.
12. (Sun) I am still at Jess'. Bobbie about the same. Boyd stayed alone to night.
13. (Mon) It has rained all day. The Dr. said Bobbie is better. Boyd came after me and I came home this eve. The roads are just fierce. Raining hard to night.

21. (Sun) We went to Sun S. and to Aldene's for dinner. We stopped at Mr. Clark's as we came home. Art, Josie, Etta and Marie and Bobbie, Sam and Carrie, Allen Aldene, Agnes, Louise and Iva and Viola were all here this eve.
22. (Mon) I washed this morning.
23. (Tue) I felt awful bad this morning. Boyd took the car to town. Aldene brot him home and I went home with her. We went to the party at the church. We began shucking corn to day.
24. (Wed) I did a big days work to day.
25. (Thu) I dressed 2 chickens this morning and got things ready for our lunch. Phelix and Agnes came out to stay all night.
26. (Fri) We left home about 7 o'clock. Got to Frank's about 3. Jim and Florence went with us.
27. (Sat) We women folks went up town this after noon. The men went to the show to night.
28. (Sun) We left Frank's about 7 o'clock. Never had a bit of trouble, got home out here at 3:10. Just had a fine trip and a good time.
29. (Mon) We went to town early this morning. Boyd and Jess went to St. Louis with hogs. Left here at 3 o'clock. We killed a hog.
30. (Tue) I washed this morning. Went to town after Boyd after dinner. Lillie came up and started her tray.
31. (Wed) I went to Ladies Aid at Ida Barne's this after noon and finished a tray for Philip Huber this evening. The girls were out for dinner. They went after Opal.
1. (Thu) It rained all day.
2. (Fri) It rained all day again. Philip Huber came and got his tray this eve.
3. (Sat) Still rainy.
4. (Sun) We stayed home all day. Curt and Emma were here all after noon. We went to church at Bois D'Arc this eve.
5. (Mon) I washed this morning and went to Mrs. Frazee's a while this after noon. We went to church.
6. (Tue) We went out and voted. I finished ironing. We went to Aldene's for supper. Jess' and Florences' were there too. We had oysters. Hoover was elected.
7. (Wed) It rained all day. I made 2 little baskets.
8. (Thu) It is nice this morning. We went to church this eve.
9. (Fri) It rained all afternoon.
10. (Sat) We went to town this afternoon.
11. (Sun) Armistis day - We went to Sun. School. Aldene & Allen, Florence & Jim, Jess & Elsie and all the children were here for dinner. Jim and Florence stayed all night.
12. (Mon) They took Curt to the hospital. Boyd went with them in the ambulance. I stayed at Aldene's for dinner. The children were all home again for supper.
13. (Tue) They operated on Curt this morning. Emma went with us. We were at the hospital 10 min to 8 o'clock.
14. (Wed) Boyd went to Springfield again this after noon. Curt is doing good.
15. (Thu) It rained all day.
16. (Fri) We got a letter from Flossie. She said Frank is sick. Little Allen is sick.
17. (Sat) Florence had the Dr. for Allen. We went to Divernon with Mr. Bacon's. We were at Opal's at 12:15. It rained all morning.
18. (Sun) We were at Florence's for dinner. Had the Dr. for Allen again. He is real sick. Boyd and Jim went to Springfield. Curt is doing pretty well.
19. (Mon) It rained all day.
20. (Tue) It snowed the most of the day just squalls. Mrs. Morrow died about noon. They took Charlie Clark to the hospital yesterday.
21. (Wed) This has been a beautiful day. I washed.

23. (Fri) I went to Mrs. Morrow's funeral. It is a nice day.
24. (Sat) The jitney supper and Bazar to night. We did not go. The men shucked corn till dark.
25. (Sun) We went to S.S. Went to Florence's for dinner. Allen is better, but he looks pekid.
26. (Mon) I washed today.
27. (Tue) I Ironed today.

29. (Thu) Thanksgiving - Just the men here for dinner. Allen and Aldene and Agnes came for supper and stayed all night.
30. (Fri) I went to town. Awful cold and raw.
1. (Sat) Felix shucked corn. Ed44 left Thurs. and never came back.
2. (Sun) We went to S.S. and to Jess' for dinner.
3. (Mon) I sewed all day.
4. (Tue) Just did the work. It snowed on and on all day. Only 9 above this morning.
5. (Wed) Jess and Elsie were here after dinner and we were over there for supper and I stayed all night. Boyd and Jess went to St. Louis.
6. (Thu) I got home from Elsie's at 9:30 got dinner for Felix and went to town after Boyd. We got thru shucking to day.
7. (Fri) Boyd finished hauling the rent today.
8. (Sat) 8 above 0 this morning.
9. (Sun) We went to church. Mr. Andreck preached. Went to Aldene's for dinner and to see Curt.
10. (Mon) We did a big washing and cleaned yard and washed windows today.
11. (Tue) I made a tray today.
12. (Wed) I went with Lillie to Club meeting at Bessie Gahant's.
13. (Thu) I ironed today.
14. (Fri) I have been nearly sick all day.
15. (Sat) We sold chickens to day. Eva and Helen came with Philip.
16. (Sun) We stayed home all day. Aldene and Allen came this eve. They got stuck up at the bridge.
17. (Mon) I went to town with Allen and Boyd came in our car. I went to the Dr. It is a terrible day. Just snowed all day.
18. (Tue) We packed Frank's box and sent it.
19. (Wed) I went to the Ladie's Aid at Lillie's all day. Daisy Clark died this morning.
20. (Thu) I made a fruit basket for Noie to day.
21. (Fri) It is only 10 above 0. We went to the Funeral to day. Were at Florence's for dinner. A traveling man ordered a tray like Elsie's to day.
22. (Sat) I was alone all day. I cut the Christmas tree and put it up myself.
23. (Sun) We were home all day. Went to town to the exercises this evening
24. (Mon) I washed, Dressed two chickens, made candy and pop corn balls to day.
25. (Tue) Christmas Day - Aldene, Allen, Jim & Florence and the children all came out this morning and stayed till after supper.
26. (Wed) We went to town, to Aldene's for dinner.
27. (Thu) We got every thing ready to butcher. Allen and the girls came out and stayed all night.
28. (Fri) We butchered to day. Had 10 men, got along fine.
29. (Sat) Florence stayed to help me to day and she had it all to do. Elsie called for me to go over there about 8:30. The baby was born at 7:30 in the evening.45
30. (Sun) Boyd came out to Jess' after me, and Fred's came in just 10 min after we got home. Aldene and Allen and Agnes were here for dinner.
31. (Mon) Harold's birthday - 10 years old. We went over to Jess' to day so he could see about his sale.
40. Albert Balty was married to Myrtle's sister, Ella Cryder.
41. Josie McKinney is probably Josephus McKinney, Boyd's uncle.
42. This is probably the annual Illinois State Fair in Springfield.
43. This is Olive (McKinney) Bushnell, Boyd's sister.
44. Ed was the McKinney's hired man.
45. Jessie Lucille McKinney was born to Myrtle's son, Jessie Theodore McKinney and his wife, Elsie Lucille (Clark). She was called "Ootie" by her family.
