Cordless Telephone Choices 

Standard single line cordless

                Available at many discount stores the most inexpensive way to have cordless telephone capabilities.  These phones will work with most business telephone systems that have analog device ports.  Headsets can be added to some models for hands free communication.  Calls can be answered, put on hold or transferred.  Most system features available by dialing feature code.  $

 

 Standard multi-line cordless

          Normally used as stand a lone unit but can be attached to telephone system or generally installed directly on incoming phone lines.  Systems features and call privacy only available if connected into telephone system.  $$

 

 Proprietary cordless phone

Many business telephone systems have proprietary cordless phones made to take advantage of one button access to lines and features.  While the one touch button is convenient these phones are more expensive then the normal cordless mentioned above.  System features are available but general usage is the same as standard cordless phone.   $$$$

 

Commercial multi-line cordless

Same as standard cordless phones normally used as stand a lone unit but can be attached to telephone system or generally installed directly on incoming phone lines.  Systems features and call privacy only available if connected into telephone system.   $$$-$$$$$

          Same as the single line unit these phones will work with most business telephone systems that have analog device ports. Multiple handsets can be added with 2 way radio intercom. Headsets can be added for hands free communication.  Calls can be answered, put on hold or transferred.  Extended distance (2500 feet) can be obtained with external antenna.  Most system features available by dialing feature code.   $$$-$$$$$

 

Digital key station with Bluetooth headset

          Available by some manufactures these phones offer all the convenience and features that are only available with a key phone.  While the wireless convenience is nice at your desk you can also move about your office with freedom from cumbersome cords.  While convenient these headset only allow for answer/hang-up while away from your desk, to hold or transfer a call you must use the telephone buttons.   $$$
