  In suiting with my penurious nature, a proposal to exchange incomplete fonts is being suggested. This proposal is floated with the assumption (sort of like NAFTA) that if there are more complete fonts of type in the world, then we all benefit. In my eagerness to stroll down this gilt path of type happiness for all, it may appear that I am trying to accumulate all the type I can find. This is only partially true.

  I am hoping that this will be a service to those of us who use and admire wood type, as well as a small effort to further preserve these artifacts.

  • If you have some type which you are willing to trade, contact me and I will present it. Let me know what you have, or better yet print some and I will scan the proof and list it. The more information given about a typeface, the better the chances to match it.

  • If you see some type which matches a face you possess, lets talk. I will try to help you out. It would appreciated to get something in return to keep this exchange going.

  • If there are sorts or fonts you need, these can be listed.

  Obviously my budget for type has hit bottom. I am willing to trade art for type, but this a balloon I have floated before to profound silence.
