These images originated as silver prints and were scanned, manipulated and re-printed. The printer is an ALPS 4000 which also has metallic capabilities. Text is metallic. Generally speaking, computer printers have a deservedly terrible reputation for fading. The ALPS printer appears to be the exception. I have left a color printout on a South facing windowsill for two years with no color shift, though it has developed a bit of a twang.
