Please fill out one application for each ensemble. Include contact information, the band set-up, student names w/ instrument and grade, Soloists (for each selection) and titles of music selections. Take time to review all the rules for District and State Jazz Festivals in the 2005-2006 MMEA Handbook, or visit

If your ensemble receives a I or II rating, please be ready to indicate if you will be attending the MMEA State Jazz Festival on March 17 &18 at Nokomis High School.

It is important that you send your application to Nokomis High School ASAP following our District Festival.

If possible, we will build a preliminary schedule at the District II Instrumental Festival on Jan. 27. The more commitments I have by that date, the earlier I can give you your time.

Directions to Poland Regional High School

Traveling from Portland (south)- I95 North to Gray Exit. Rt. 26 to Poland.

Traveling from Lewiston (north and east)- Rt. 11 through Minot and Mechanic Falls. Take a Left onto Rt.26. The school is 1/4 mile on the right.

Traveling from Casco (west)- Take Rt 11 to Mechanic Falls. Take a right onto Rt.26 the school is 1/4 mile on the right.

Please inform your spectators that we will have a gate fee of $5 per adult $3 per student.

All students from attending schools must be chaperoned. Homerooms will be provided for visiting schools.

We will have two performance areas- auditorium and cafeteria. A piano and PA system will be provided. Please bring any additional amplifiers as needed.
