Questions Do I need the PowerPoint
program installed on my computer in order to use a Maine Point Presentations
slide show? Before we start designing a
presentation for you we need to know whether you have PowerPoint available
and if so, which version. You do not need the
PowerPoint program installed on your computer. We make CDs that automatically run on most
Windows-based computers. Nothing needs
to be installed and no user intervention is required. If you’d like, a PowerPoint
Viewer may be included on you presentation disc; or you can download one at
www.microsoft.com/downloads. With the
viewer, you can choose which shows to play and whether to use the timings
that are set or control the show manually.
You can also print your slides and create a play list of shows that
will run sequentially. The viewer and the auto-run
CDs only support PowerPoint 97 features; therefore, many of the advanced
animation effects supported by the newer versions of PowerPoint will not be
available. Can I use my laptop to show presentations? Yes, you can show your
presentation on any laptop or computer monitor. You can also link your laptop to a big
screen TV, large monitor or electronic projector to show your presentation to
large audiences. Can I broadcast
my presentation to others? Yes, if you have PowerPoint 2000 or 2002, you can broadcast your
presentation to others using an intranet site. Audience members do not need to have the
PowerPoint program installed on their computers. You can broadcast in real time and run the
show. Using NetMeeting, you can chat
and use a white board. Or you can save
your presentation as a web page and post it on your site. |

Can I use my presentation
at my trade show kiosk? Yes, your show can be
interactive or self-running. Using a play
list, several presentations can run continuously in whichever order you
choose. Your presentation can be
password protected so others will be unable to modify it. Showcase your product, your employees or
