THE MISSION OF THE PLEASANT POND CONSERVANCY

The purposes for which the P PC is organized is to preserve and promote conservation of Pleasant pond, its wildlife, wildlife habitats and natural environment and to promote the natural, social and recreational benefits of Pleasant Pond among its members and the surrounding community.

ANNUAL MEETING

The ANNUAL MEETING of the Pleasant Pond Conservancy is scheduled for August 24th at 7:00 p.m. Penny & Don Appleby have graciously offered to host the meeting at their home on 375 Pleasant Pond Road. If you cannot attend, please complete the attached proxy vote and return to Arthur Grant by August 23rd. Hope to see you all there. (Refreshments will be provided by the Conservancy.)

THANK YOU TO

Chris Decker for the outstanding job he has done on the PPC Website with wonderful pictures from around the pond and valuable information links to other websites, complete Water Quality Summary Report, and much more. To visit this website, go to http://www.ppcturner.org.

Janet & Rusty for the beautification project on the Kiosk (located at the boat ramp). Rusty's talents redesigned and rebuilt the roof of the kiosk, while Janet updated the information within the structure. A bench and plantings will be added to complete the project. Please stop by and take a look.

WATCH OUT FOR WILDLIFE

If you haven't seen the new addition, we have a baby Loon on the pond. Be aware that it can be swamped very easily by power boat wakes. We can contribute to the survival of this little one by keeping an eye out and staying well away.
