PSIC/SCIP Public Safety Interoperable Communications Grant
For more information about this grant opportunity, please follow this link. to meet the guidelines of this grant, the application must be regional. Towns need not be directly adjacent for the grant to be considered regional.

CERT
Working on creating a shelter team around OHCHS. Speaking with SAD 55 about offering ARC Shelter Operations course to teachers. A CERT course is scheduled to begin on September 24th at Sacopee Middle School as part of the Adult Education program at SAD 55. CERT Jamboree at Bog Brook Training facility in Gilead is scheduled for September 12, 13,  and 14.

School Drills
Looking at completing one school drill annually. The timeline is approximately 6 months from initial planning meeting to completion of the drill. To date we have held a shooter drill at OHCHS and a violent intruder drill at MOMS. If your schools would like to pursue a drill, please let us know.

NIMS Matrix
MEMA provided a more thorough training matrix to the counties on April 23, 2008. To view this matrix, follow this link. Interest in holding an ICS-100 class in Waterford prior to October 1st was expressed.

IS-230 Principles of Emergency Management
There was discussion of working through 2 chapters of the course at each Local EMA meeting until completed.

Miscellaneous
Scott is planning on attending Town Selectperson meetings over the remainder of 2008 and through 2009 to update and report on the progress of EMA duties and the work of the local director.

The NeighborsCare program in Sumner is progressing.

Stoneham has submitted the last small project form and has requested the final payment from the state.

Waterford has received all bids for the FD turnout gear grant.
